September is National Library Card Sign-up Month and it's a great time to make sure you have yours. Whether you just moved here, are getting your first card as a child, or have never had one before, this is for you. Or maybe you can't seem to find yours anymore--this is for you too!

Library cards (and replacements) are available for free to residents of Ohio who can provide proof of address in person at the circulation desk of any Auglaize County Library. Children applying for a card will need a parent or guardian present to provide proof of residency.

Your library card can be your key to unlocking worlds of potential. Your library card number (on the back of your card) and your PIN (the number you set up on registration) can be used for a plethora of resources, including:

  • Checking out books, movies, hotspots, streaming services, magazines, & more
  • Using the self-check stations at each of our branches
  • Checking out eBooks & eAudiobooks on the Libby app
  • Checking out music, movies, TV, eBooks, eComics, & eAudiobooks on the Hoopla app
  • Checking your library account online to see due dates & items you have checked out
  • Requesting items from other libraries through Interlibrary Loans
  • Access to some digital databases for research
