Arby's® of Wapakoneta has generously provided funds to begin a brand-new LEGO® Robotics Program at each branch of the Auglaize County Libraries.
With the ever-increasing interest in STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) education, we are excited to offer our patrons with the opportunity to experiment in the realm of robotics with LEGO®'s Mindstorms® EV3 robotics kits at each library. The Mindstorm® EV3 is a fantastic introduction to building and programming electronic robots in an approachable way, perfect for young engineers to build, program, command, and play using LEGO® pieces motors, and sensors. This exciting new program will provide participants with team-building skills, easy computer programming, and of course, tons of fun. We thank Arby's® of Wapakoneta for their donation to the libraries and to the patrons of Auglaize County. Thank you!
Check out the time and date of your location on our calendar here. The program will be offered monthly at each location for grades 3rd -7th, but will taking a brief break during Summer Reading in June and July. Meetings will restart in August.
